
Lynn Ngugi is a Senior Associate at the firm of Ahmednasir Abdullahi Advocates, LLP assigned to the Real Estate and Corporate / Commercial Departments.
She joined the firm in 2019. Lynn is a vibrant, meticulous Advocate experienced in the litigation, corporate commercial and international law sectors.
She has acted for and advised clients on multimillion-dollar cross-border transactions. On the back of her experience and expertise, Lynn has distinguished herself in delivering expert, specialized and and timely legal advice for corporations and government organisations. She is highly skilled at negotiating complex legal issues, developing and effectively communicating legal solutions to a global clientele.
Lynn also acts for private clients and non-profit organisations on a range of matters including: family law, wills & estates, and testamentary & charitable trusts in the case of private clients; and regulatory compliance and governance in the case of non-profit organisation.
Prior to joining the Firm Lynn had a stint at Freshfields Deringer LLP in London, where she gained experience on international arbitration matters and economic crimes.
- Being part of the legal team handling high stake probate and succession matters including the land mark case involving the estate of the late Mbiyu Koinange. Lynn saw this matter to its conclusion where she led the team in the sub-division of the estate inter alia.
- Offering advisory and acting for clients in family disputes such as divorce, separation, child custody and guardianship.
- Advising on succession matters, including preparation and revision of wills & Codicils, establishment of testamentary & charitable trusts, advising executors and administrators on administration of estates.
- Assisting lead counsel on corporate and M&A transactions including undertaking due diligence, drafting transactional documents, such as asset and business transfer agreements, joint venture agreements, share purchase & shareholder agreements and providing compliance and regulatory advices
- Advising and acting for clients in establishment of legal entities and Special Purpose Vehicles such as companies, limited liability partnerships, societies, trusts, and non-governmental organisations.
- Preparing and perfecting transaction documents financing of property sale, long term leasing arrangements, and project developments.
- Broad experience in litigating complex commercial and civil disputes;
- Advising on registration of Intellectual Property Rights (“IPR”) and acting for clients in negotiating.
